Abstract

To select and summarize the best evidence for the management
of pediatric burn wounds, providing evidence-based guidance for clinical wound car e practices for pediatric burn patients.Methods:Following the
“6S” pyramid mo del for evidence-based resources, a systematic search was
conducted across do mestic and international guidelines, professional society websites, and databases to identify clinical decisions, guidelines, evidence
summaries, best practices, ex pert consensus, and systematic reviews related to
the assessment and care of p ediatric burn patients. The search period was from
the establishment of the dat abase until March 24, 2024. Two evidence-based
researchers independently eval uated the quality of the literature, extracted,
categorized, and integrated the evi dence from the included studies, ultimately
forming the best evidence.Results:A total of 16 articles were included, comprising 10 guidelines and 6 expert cons ensus documents. Four key themes were
summarized: nursing assessment, woun d care, fluid resuscitation, and infection
prevention. A total of 37 best evidence points were extracted.Conclusion:The
summarized best evidence for the manag ement of pediatric burn wounds is both
scientifically rigorous and clinically ap plicable, providing an evidence-based
foundation to enhance the quality of wou nd care for pediatric burn patients.
