Bisphosphonate-related atypical femoral fracture: a case report and literature review
Abstract
Bisphosphonates (bisphosphonates,BPs) have been the gold standard
for the treatment of osteoporosis (osteoporosis,O and P). However, long-term use
of BPs is associated with a 1 rare complication-atypical femoral fractures (atypical
femoral fractur,AFF). The purpose of this article is to introduce a clinical case of
incomplete atypical femoral fractures after long-term use of bisphosphonates for
osteoporosis and review the relevant literature.
